I love making these Mickelope sculptures for many reasons. Each one is unique and each one projecting its own charm and nostalgic vibe. I’ve always been fascinated with how the fashion and art industry has captured the timeless appeal of the character. Mickey has been recreated in a thousand different ways. These Mickelopes are my way of “remaking” the beloved mouse…and every time I make one I feel like a kid again. Mickey Mouse might be disliked for his omnipresence, but there's no denying his significant impact on popular culture and the joy he brings to people of all ages world wide. Me being one of them
